Church History

Bishop Christopher J. Hardy founded The Lord’s Church Ministries in 1995.  He received the vision through The Holy Spirit in July of that same year, while serving as Outreach Minister with the Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church.  After resigning from his duties with Mt Hermon, he started the church with 4 individuals, including himself, his late wife Marilyn, his daughter Valencia Marie and his mother-in-law Miss Bernice Moore.  They held their first service at Easthaven Elementary School on the East Side of Columbus, on July 2^nd 1995. 

The Lord Jesus further instructed Bishop Hardy and TLCM to become “A Joshua Generation!”   That foundational Scripture was Joshua 1:2, “Arise, take the promised Land.”  The Lord commissioned Bishop Hardy to teach God’s people how arise above natural circumstances and change their poverty mentality to “Kingdom Mentality!”

In August of 2004, he met Dr. Pamela Rutherford.  They married on January 1, 2005.    God ordained them and set them in the body as Apostles to the nations.  God instructed Bishop Chris and Dr. Pamela to change the name of the church to International Covenant Ministries and to mandate a people to be a sent body of trained believers, commissioned by Christ with an international mandate to strengthen, serve and support new territories, regions and nations while manifesting and making ready a people prepared for the coming of the Lord.

What We Believe At ICLNnnn

• We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible, authoritative Word of God and He the Creator of all things (Genesis 1:2; Colossians 1:16).

• We believe that there is one God; eternally existent in Three Persons; God the Father, God the Son and God The Holy Spirit (I John 5:7).

• We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus, the Christ, His virgin birth, His resurrection, His ascension to the right of the Father, and will return to the earth to judge the quick and the dead, to receive His Blood brought church to reign with Him forever (Acts 2:22-32; Ephesians 1:20-22).

• We believe in water Baptism by immersion, in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the operations of the gifting of the Spirit and we believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:4; I Corinthians 11:23-30).

• We believe God’s men and women should walk in His righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost to maintain “Kingdom Mentality” throughout their lifetime (Romans 14:17,18). 

• We believe we walk in Divine Increase, Integrity, Knowledge and Wisdom and we will continue to teach all men in similar fashion (Proverbs 9:9,10).

• We believe our Apostles are God called and anointed to minister Increase to our families, ministries the Body of Christ and to the nations of this world, the uncompromising Word of God with boldness (Acts 4:29-31).
